Most Loyal Thames Rockets customer reaches his 54th trip!

Since 2006, Thames Rockets have blasted thousands of people across the River Thames - for most, at least more than once! 

Many who experience our red rocket speedboats return once, twice, three times or more! But, there is one special guest that just can’t get enough.

Alex Green has been a very loyal, returning customer for many years and has managed to reach a grand total of 54 trips! He has experienced every single Thames Rockets speedboat tour on offer, as well as the incredible seasonal celebrations. 

Alex’s last trip took place back in October and his big 55th trip is being planned for the winter months. 

Loyal customer, Alex Green said: “ My favourite Thames Rockets trip is the Thames Barrier Explorers Voyage, which combines the Break the Barrier and Ultimate London Adventure. 

As Alex is such a loyal customer, we decided to invite him on board to experience being a Skipper for an hour. Our Skippers taught Alex how to drive the boat and gave him a chance to put his skills to the test! 

“I have been on board 54 times, 53 as a passenger, I was also invited on board to learn how to pilot a Thames Rockets speedboat and spent an hour blasting down the Thames”

As Thames Rockets are open all year round, it can be hard to decide the best time to come and join us on board. As Alex has been on in all weathers, he decided to give some tips for anyone wishing to come and join the fun. 

“I’ve done trips in pretty much every weather except snow, and always had a blast! 

“Hot, summer days are great as you can cool down on board, but it’s a blast whatever the weather. 

“Night time sailings are particularly special, especially if the sky is clear”
