End of Season Party

Thames Rockets have brought the curtain down on another wonderful summer season this week with our annual staff party. We've had a blast this season whizzing thousands of you around the Thames on our No.1 guided speedboat experiences. This year we have had plenty to celebrate in our 11th year of business - our 7th consecutive TripAdvisor 'Certificate of Excellence', passing a milestone 7,000 5/5 reviews, our first Viator Award for 'top customer service' and a huge highlight was scooping our first ever VisitEngland Award being named 'Family Friendly Attraction 2017'. So, as ever, to say a huge thank you to our fantastic, dedicated and hard working team of booking administrators, boarding managers, guides, and skippers we all went off for a jolly good night out. First stop, after herding the cats together at Vauxhall station, was with Whistle Punks for their 'Axe Throwing'. There were a few nervous faces amongst the team to begin with - we now know how some of you must feel the first time you climb onboard a Thames Rocket! However the team at Whistle Punks were amazing, putting all the team through their paces. Then it was competition time! After a furious hour or so of axes whistling through the air we had a winner... superstar guide David. Congratulations to guide James for getting onto Whistle Punks 'Wall of Fame' for scoring 50+ points overall and to guide Bill for nailing his double axe trick shot (see photos below!). After all that furious adrenaline fuelled axe throwing it was time for a nice sit down and a drink, we headed over to the Tamesis Dock. Tamesis Dock is a converted 1930s dutch barge, (of course we had to end up on a boat!) moored up permanently between Lambeth Bridge and Vauxhall Bridge and serves as a floating pub, live music and event space.  If you haven't had a chance to come onboard for a speedy adventure with Thames Rockets this year don't worry, trips are operated all year round and we've still plenty of special trips coming up as well including; Halloween, Christmas specials and our NYE experience as well. The biggest thank you goes to you - our valued passengers - without whom we would just be a bunch of people floating around on a boat. Here's to many more seasons of super speedy blasts. We're ready.
