Originally London RIB Voyages, Thames Rockets took to the river Thames in 2006 becoming the first ever Thames speed boat tour-operator in London. Within a matter of months our first award ‘Small Business of the Year’ was proudly mounted on our now overflowing mantelpiece, quickly followed with the ‘Best New Tourist Attraction: Gold Award’ from VisitLondon. Soon after came Five Stars from the famous Timeout, London magazine.
Before long our customers returned with their friends, and friends of friends and family and colleagues and associates for their ultimate London day out. Word soon spread to TripAdvisor and over the next 12 years the five star reviews flooded in. 2012 saw Thames Rockets crowned #1 Activity in London – all thanks to our valued passengers taking to the internet to shout about our unique brand of off-beat humour and 21st century Thames river cruise. It didn’t stop there, in 2016 we entered the TripAdvisor renowned 'Hall of Fame' after receiving our 8th consecutive Certificate of Excellence, VisitEngland awarded us 'UK Family Attraction, 2017’ and most recently recipient of the 2020 ‘Traveler’s Choice Award’ from TripAdvisor.
