Tall Ships and Fireworks 2018 (60 mins)

This summer the majestic Tall Ships Regatta comes to maritime Greenwich, bringing its unique style and elegance to the river Thames.

Always keen to be part of the celebrations – Thames Rockets will be adding its own speedy spin on the event! For two dates in July only, join us for a blast into the past on the most modern vessels on the river. Departing from the iconic Tower Bridge, the mood is set from the off as we speed away in style! It’s all about the ride as we twist and turn, time travelling towards the grand Tall Ships and the atmospheric Old Royal Naval College.

As always, Thames Rockets crank up the tunes with an apt soundtrack through time. Beginning with the modern day, as you fly across the docklands the clock turns back through the decades, taking you all the way back to the 60’s – from Sia to Sinatra!

Once at Greenwich it’s time to calm your nerves, pulling up to enjoy the panoramic view with delicious cocktails served on-board, made especially for Thames Rockets by the renowned London Cocktail Club.

Oh, did we mention? The reason for stopping in Greenwich is to enjoy front row seats to the spectacular Tall Ships Regatta fireworks display. There’s plenty of ‘oooh’s’ and ‘aahhh’s’ to be had as the night sky is lit up just for you, with the beautiful Tall Ships silhouetted on the river.

Then it’s time to turn and fire up the 630hp engines once more to bring us back into the modern age, arriving safely back at St Katharine Pier a little shaken, and a lot stirred!
