2017 - Rocketing ahead!

In true Rocket style we're already 5% into 2017. Don't panic! We have some super special and exciting things planned for the year. How would you fancy a sneak peek at our first six months...? Valentine's Day A mid-week Valentine's Day this year means we get to celebrate all week (any excuse...)! With so many of you loved up, smiley couples coming on for fun and adventures, we've pushed the boat out this year with a gorgeous gift bag for every couple with everything you need for the perfect date in the most romantic city in the world! We're hoping for one or two more proposals again this year... We recommend under Tower Bridge (hint hint)... The Official End of Winter Friday 3rd March marks the official end of the winter season (not that we're waiting of course...)! Time to dust off those shades, dig out that selfie stick and head on down to the Southbank or St. Katharine Docks for some super speedy springtime fun with Thames Rockets. Of course - if you'd rather wait until things really hot up you can always book ahead or buy vouchers from our online store - because London summers aren't complete without a #1 blast around the capital! The Boat Race The Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race (mens and ladies), will be taking to the Thames on Sunday 2nd April this year for the 163rd annual boat race. There's everything to play for, as the standings in the men's race at present are Oxford: 79 wins v Cambridge: 82 wins. In the women's race it's Oxford: 30 wins v Cambridge: 41 wins. This year promises to be another close fought match where anything can happen... The world famous race dates back to 1829 and is one of the oldest sporting events in the world, with thousands expected to watch from the banks of the Thames and millions around the world on the television. Keep your eyes peeled! We will once again be following closely behind the race this year as the official supplier of RIB's to the event. Thames Lates 2017 Following the enormous success of our newest experience, Thames Lates, we have once again teamed up with the Craft Cocktail Company to bring you London's only speedboat and cocktail experience. We're very excited, as CCC 2017 cocktail editions have already scooped three industry awards! Let's face it, it has to be the #1 cocktails for the #1 speedboats, hasn't it? Mother's Day On Sunday 2nd May it's time to spoil the head of the household rotten. Why not book a cracking restaurant for lunch or dinner, and treat Mum to our Ultimate London Adventure - 50 minutes of guided sightseeing with all the twists and turns that have made Thames Rockets the #1 family day out.
